Day 179 (of 2023/24) Father’s Day weekend

I know not everyone has someone to wish Father’s Day to – whether they have passed (as in my case) or there is separation issues (why we take time to celebrate pride month to help normalize SOGI ~ as a throw away line in Star Trek when talking about genders: only two? That’s strange…) or absenteeism…

It is much like Mothers Day – can be triggering and stressful for many, so in school and classrooms, I’ve always reduced the pressure by saying there are many people who act as “dads” and thanks/gifts can always be shared to them.

Glad I have three kids who still like me enough to be laughing with me and a wife who helps support me in the varied ‘dad jobs’ – which are not gendered in our household, but usually skill-aptitude focused…

So to everyone, irregardless of gender or even biological relationship, stepping up to be “dads”…. Thank you!
