As a kid, I fell in love with Monty Python. Thanks to PBS no britbox back then! PBS out of Detroit was awesome and would have a couple shows that were great (Red Dwarf made its appearance there; At The Bijou which showed how movie theatres used to work.. cartoon… couple shorts… then the feature… all horrible movies, but captivating nonetheless…) but it was Monty Python that got my dad and I to laugh hardest. loved so many of the skits… especially the ones that fell flat, but loved things like the guy running long distances just to say “it’s”…. With the theme starting… loved John Cleese saying “now for so,thing completely different…” and when someone would state – ‘well, I didn’t expect the Spanish inquisition’ with members of dressed as the Spanish Inquisition bursting in and confirming; “no one expects the Spanish Inquisition”…
