Day 110 (of 189) hundreds day
Love “hundreds day” celebrations. I don’t remember ever celebrating the roundest number of days of learning as a kid -and of course as an educator we hit “100” sooner than students because of other professional learning that takes place; probably why many do “hundreds week” since so often classroom calendars vary by a couple days around how many days “in school” have passed.
But I love the costumes and centres that can be done!
From walking 100 steps to skip counting. Yoga and exercises. Games and activities to think about 100 – because number sense is important, but so are games. And stories. Math needs more stories. And “age” is a tough concept for young ‘uns to grasp (though I appreciate being thought of as maybe being 20 years, I also scoff when kids say I must be 80)
we had a great day playing with 100 – glad someone many explored what this number can actually “mean”.
