Day 69 (of 186) 12 (educational) pains of Christmas

From https://g.co/kgs/3ZGCk5

The first thing at Christmas that such a pain at school is no snow on the sledding hill

The second thing at Christmas that’s such a pain to me is two many students away on early vacations

The third thing at Christmas that’s such a pain to me is the anxiety starting on the final week as the realization of two weeks away school is almost here

The fourth thing at Christmas that’s such a pain to me is being asked if I’m counting down the days….

5 school days till break…..

6 different beliefs to be mindful of….

7 art activities all needing glue sticks

8 characteristics from @gcouros being featured on Sunday’s #bcedchat – 7pm (12 Qs to keep a theme)

9 shows I want to binge on

10 deep breaths (okay – this is actually a good one: in through the nose and out through the mouth) but as my son grits: i AM breathing – if I wasn’t I’d be dead!!!

11 emails I need to respond to…

12 half eaten candies on the staff room table

And as much as some people dread the ongoing barrage of Christmas carols, I can’t have them going early enough!

Bing singing White Christmas is my favourite (I even watch the movie almost each year) but the ending to Scrooged is great music too!!

So. Time to be mindful as we enter single digits until the hap-hap-happiest season of all (but not for all…) that for every great thing about the end is the calendar year, there are many pains being felt as well! So if feeling sick, sad, isolated, anxious – that’s okay! Reach out and connect or vent!
