Day 163 (of 185) I’ll always forget to thank someone….

Our school tradition is to have a Spring Tea as a way to “thank” the members who make our Learning Community great. I like that we focus on having music as part of the event. From our Kindys dancing (and singing a bit) to the recorders to the junior and senior bands (nice to have grade 8s) the day was full of music – oh yeah, especially with the choir and the jazz combo. Sigh. It’s so easy to forget. And as much as I create a comprehensive list (and try to keep an ongoing list) I know there will always be people whom I forget. So I try to create it thematically now:

I’m comfortable knowing I’ll forget some specific thank-you’d because there are so many that just step up to help as 1:1 readers, presenters at Remembrance Days, anonymous donations…..because we are more than just schools – we are a part of a broader Learning Community.
