Day 175 (of 183) it’s the end of the year as we know it (and I feel fine)
Gotta imagine the music……may hit up GarageBand for a YouTube video…..music by REM:

That’s great, it starts with a report card date

Kindys and graduates, a ceremony, and Socrates is not afraid
Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself speak

Assembly serves its own needs, don’t misserve your own bleats

Feed up the last lunches, speed, grunt, no, strength

The ladder starts to clatter with a fear of height, no poster board

Last drill for a fire, represent the seven years

And an hr department trying for hire for each site

Last field trip, wasn’t returning in a hurry with the Furies breathing down their neck
Class by class, teachers baffled, trumped, tethered, cropped

Look for that coffee shop, fine, then

Uh-oh, long line, population, common group

But it’ll do, save yourself, serve yourself

School serves its own needs, listen to your heart bleed

Tell me with making each day count and the not just counting to days, right

You vitriolic, pedagogic, last performances, bright lights

Feeling pretty psyched
It’s the end of the term as we know it

It’s the end of the grade as we know it

It’s the end of the year as we know it, and I feel fine

Yep – even though we are at the end of the year, still planning for new things this week (music performance) next week (year end assembly & talent show) and the week after (helping with exams) and after that (UBC/BCPVPA Shortcourse) and always thinking about when we get our kids back for more learning! But it can be easy to not feel fine this time of year!
