Day 37 (of 183) some catchups from a very busy week

Just taking some time to do some reflection on what has been a very busy week:

Monday – I reflected on seeing our district from the outside. It was neat taking our provincial BCPVPA president for a tour of a variety of our elementary, middle and secondary schools – and very interesting seeing a few schools “as they are” – nothing was set up ahead of time – so the drum solo by a SAS student was just because he was in the recording studio and the student tour guides were surprised when their dads asked them for an impromptu tour. Video has always been an important part of my/our reflection (monthly videos, weekly “week aheads” can be seen at and so we created a little videologue :

Tuesday – I took a look at our IEP work and really wish I had seen this picture before we got started:

Wednesday had me sharing my growth plan. Which in turn led to a very kind email from a publishing rep who decided he would send some extra resources my way to help me support my goal to help for a better understanding of (and working with) anxiety! Very nice surprise!!

Thursday saw me wondering a bit about full moons, halloween and how much more “attention” we pay to behaviours. I still wonder if we are looking for “it” because of so much mythology around full moons along with the perception of “crazy day” – which more often than not…aren’t (exhausting, absolutely – but that’s more a mark of a fun day than anything else).

It’s taken some time to reflect on my reflections. Busy weeks are like that – but again, that’s a reason for my “blogging each day of learning” mindset….taking time to reflect even when it’s easy to think that there’s just no time. Hardly wait to see what’s next….Movember and more!!
