Day 23 (of 183) on mental illness/wellness awareness week w thanks to @cbc @karencopeland3

Day 23 (of 183) on mental illness/wellness awareness week
Busy week.  Some I’ve blogged about; others I’ve kept internalized (squishing them into a tight ball)
I’ve been doing some reflection on the question that has come up a few times today: is there more anxiety today (vs being better identified vs just being talked about) compared to “the good old days”
My “good old days” saw:
130 G7 students become
130 G8 students become
60 who walked across the graduation stage.
And upon reflection – I think more weeks like this and more conversations (secrets not allowed any more) are helping. Helping more people know that they are not alone and there is help.

Thanks to @cbc for helping share stories (ie Documentary: http://www.cbc.ca/keepingcanadaalive/ ). Thanks to @karencopeland3 for sharing her stories at http://championsforcommunitywellness.com

Keep on sharing stories.
