Some Rules We Need to Break In Our Reading Classrooms

Great ‘borrowed blog’ – as principal librarian I also “support” younger kids signing out ‘older books’ because it helps me identify their interests – though I then teach the “rule of 5” (read one page of a book, and raise one finger for each word you don’t know [not including names] – if you get 5 fingers up….it’s probably a bit tough)
