Day 172 (of 188) sticking to a schedule

Day 172 (of 188) sticking to a schedule
Still tired after taking on my new role as coordinator of our school district Track & Field day. In part because it was close to being cancelled.
It always seems to rain on the May Long Weekend in BC. And again when outdoor events are scheduled.
We knew rain was coming but also knew that the next day was going to be worse. So we went ahead as scheduled.
Luckily the rain stayed very light until after our main running events and the main showers didn’t start until after our field events. It turns out the city closed the fields while we we’re halfway through but honestly we were having enough fun that we were able to happily wrap up our day and have the fastest cleanup I’ve ever seen! Turns out nobody wanted to leave any one person on their own to clean everything up.
Sometimes it’s good to remember to “trust the process” – set a plan and follow it – good things can happen!  But wow it can be exhausting!!
