Day 113 (of 188) always forget this time of year

Day 113 (of 188) always forget this time of year

Every year I forget until “it” happens – an escalation in school ….. “bubbliness”…. It always sneaks up on one of us (there’s a cohort of us that email each other when “it” starts to remind each other).

Christmas Summer & Spring are all predictable – a mix of excitement and dread for the extended stay away from school.

Halloween, Valentines and 100s day (if you’re in elementary) also bring upon themselves some anticipated “bumps” (like the kindy we had who had never experienced Halloween costumes until all his classmates came dressed up…..)

But the end of February always has “something”.  Some mix of parental, staff and student angst. We didn’t help anything by adding in Pink Day (aka anti-bullying day) and superhero day (blogs to follow). But something’s up….I’d say the weather, but kids are playing better outside than they ever have at our school – bigger variety of games and more groups interacting.

Maybe it’s just us??

Not sure, but I wasn’t happy to re-alert my cohort & expand it to my #pln ’cause I always forget about the end of February.
