Day 105 (of 188) ‘the steamroller’ aka one size doesn’t fit most
Our school is battling anxiety. That’s not a secret. We are doing a lot of work with physical literacy to support this. Again, not a secret. We are good at adapting a lot of features into the classroom….but today I got a great reminder that “inclusion” does not mean “all the time”.
One of our brilliant kids (therefore a ‘behaviour concern’ in old-speak) was struggling with a writing prompt. It was for Valentines Day…he made a noose out of a twist-tie…. and then “we” had him visit ‘the steamroller’ (a physical tool that helps with compression)… and then it happened….
the power of us not trying to fit square pegs into round holes…!
