Day 105 (of 188) ‘the steamroller’ aka one size doesn’t fit most

Our school is battling anxiety. That’s not a secret. We are doing a lot of work with physical literacy to support this. Again, not a secret. We are good at adapting a lot of features into the classroom….but today I got a great reminder that “inclusion” does not mean “all the time”.

One of our brilliant kids (therefore a ‘behaviour concern’ in old-speak) was struggling with a writing prompt. It was for Valentines Day…he made a noose out of a twist-tie…. and then “we” had him visit ‘the steamroller’ (a physical tool that helps with compression)… and then it happened….
