Day 84 (of 188) can one size fit all…

Day 84 (of 188) can one size fit all…

tad of a struggle going inside my head – I’m part of a committee (with some very talented educators) talking about an idea of ‘standardization’…..while enabling personalization….with technology in our schools; both for student & teacher use…and what “a” classroom might/should “need”…

As a former football lineman, I know all to well that “one size fits all” …. doesn’t. It might fit ‘many’, but it can be too much for some, and (as many don’t always think about) too confining for others…

One of my favourite images to share in presentations has been:

fitall1

and the assumption is usually “things are too big” – or too much – and need to be scaleable down, but that’s not my point – my argument is more that “the right size” is preferable to “one size”.

we still need to be mindful that sometimes “one size” can be too small…
