Day 13 (of 188): Lucky 13?? BC schools startup

It has been as weird a September as Education in the province of BC has ever seen. Ironicish the last day of school was June 13, and on Day 13 of this school year, the ‘vote is in’ and BC Teachers have accepted the deal recommended by their executive and school begins on Monday.

Let the nerves begin. Teachers have not had the usual weeks to get themselves (and their classrooms) ready. Principals have spent months being asked to speak out on the job action by teachers AND by government. Parents and students have waited (and learned a lot about BC Education). And now we have a start date.

It is definitely times like this I am happy that via Twitter I have expanded my PLN – because I have linked up with educators who always pass on positive messages/reminders just when I need them – such as:

Dream Big

Looking forward to seeing my Learning Community PLN every day for similar inspiration.
