Day 9 (of 188) perspective change
At the end of the second week of Septembers job action (strike) in BC schools, it’s interesting to hear people’s perspectives on what is going on in “the principals office”…
I’ve been asked if I was bored (but ‘boredom’ enables creativity – as mentioned in a previous blog) but I’ve stayed pretty engaged each day.
I’ve teased that I’ve been watching Netflix in alphabetical order, and I’m in the Cs (the tease is the reference to Tony Wagners 7Cs of ’21st C learning: http://www.tonywagner.com/7-survival-skills )
My own mother came up for the weekend (lives in Seattle) and I was still two hours later getting hole than I thought I would be (because ‘stuff’ happens!)
But honestly, time still flies by – the end of the day comes very quickly – and I guess it’s because things change in perspective depending on how you look at them (and sometimes changing the way you look at things) – and I am best reminded of this from the first time I saw this map:
