Day 56 (of 184) what’s important at a conference

Day 56 (of 184) conference reinforcement

At the start of a 60 hour whirlwind of conferencing and workshops with bcssa and bcpvpa one thing became clear. Or rather, a reinforcement was made crystal clear. The #1 teaching/behaviour/etc etc etc trick is… Relationships

Not that it is a surprise that professionalrelationships between student and teacher are of key importance to the learner.

It was great to hear this message from our internationally renowned morning keynote Dylan William and then in every session I went to. And it didn’t matter if it was a superintendent, principal or teacher – learning is so dependent on the connection/relationship within the classroom and school) learning community.

Throughout every session and more importantly in between sessions allowed for some great re connections (with former colleagues from around the province) and members of my professional learning network that I usually only see a digital presence of.

Relationships – whether asynchronous or in ‘real time’ are key to making learning happen in a relevant, meaningful way.
