Day 37 (of 184) running in the halls?

Day 37 (of 184) running in the halls?

Thump thump thump was the pounding of feet down the hallway at the end of the day. Unbelievable. A day with multiple teachers absent and the kids were running down the halls.

The danger of assumptions.

‘Cause it wasn’t a toc. It was an everyday teacher. And her kids weren’t running out of control. It was the end of a science/art hybrid lesson. And re kids loved it. Especially when I crossed my arms and have a frowny face.

I should’ve known it’d be that kind of day when the morning started with a fire truck arriving with all sirens blaring. There was no alarm going off, but they were turning into the parking lot. I was thinking heart attack, fake 911 call, but no – apparently one of my little darlings created a fire aware video and won a radio contest to be driven to school in a fire truck. Just when you assume you’ve got a good handle on what’s going on I your learning community….

Time to stop the assuming and get ready for our provincial pro-d day and do a final prep of my presentation ‘shifting gears’ for the BCPVPA Connecting Leaders conference tomorrow and Saturday. Days 38 & 38a of my 184 days of learning blog.
