September startup

I began another September starting up in a new school – changing schools, districts, communities, and regions!
No regrets.
Going to a k-5 school has been amazing – especially with a learning community that is supportive of ‘change’.
I’m currently focused on having my grade 4s & 5s getting used to using technology regularly. We’ve started in the lab (it’s a start) and already have students asking if they can bring in their iPods.
I’m also pushing personalized learning projects that had one of my teacher/parents share that when they asked their child what they thought of my class, the comment was “he’s not as scary as he looks!” – again, it’s a start!
Now to see how the learning community responds to school based tweets and web hosted video podcasts to keep everybody up to date!
It’s been a great start!!
