As we enter the final month, my school is taking time to catch its breath.
Building off the research from Lynn Miller from UBC (go T-birds!) anxiety is in our school at all ages
So, our school is taking 2 minutes each morning and collectively breathing – slowly I’m through the nose, holding it, and breathing out through the mouth.
The kids say I sound like Darth Vader (at which time I point up at the sign above the door on the inside of my office: Imperial Lord Darth Vader – from a Disney trip decades ago)
It’s fun to joke, but I know there are kids (and adults) in the building that can benefit from regular slow breathing.
I’m looking forward to hearing the feedback as the week goes on!
